About Me
About Me
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here
I am an EMDR and integrative psychotherapist working with adults who have experienced trauma, grief, anxiety, overwhelming stress or who feel disconnected from themselves after difficult life events. My approach is grounded, relational and paced carefully so that therapy feels safe, steady and held. I work with clients from around the world online.
My work is shaped by the understanding that our minds and bodies adapt in remarkable ways to survive what we go through. Sometimes those adaptations later feel overwhelming or limiting. Together, we explore what your system has been managing, how it has protected you, and how we can support a shift towards regulation, stability and emotional ease. Nothing is rushed. We go at your pace.
I am trained in EMDR therapy, Integrative counselling, Trauma-Informed relational work, and I have previously trained as a Critical Incident Debriefer. This means I have experience supporting people in the aftermath of sudden distressing or traumatic events, where the nervous system has been shocked or overwhelmed. I understand how trauma imprints itself both in the mind and in the body, and how careful, attuned work can help restore a sense of safety, coherence and internal balance.
EMDR can be particularly helpful where talking alone has not been enough. It supports the brain in processing memories and sensory-emotional experiences that may have remained stuck, replaying or intruding into daily life. Many people I work with have previously tried to cope alone, or found that talking therapy helped to understand things but did not change how things feel inside. If this is familiar, it simply means a deeper, body-and-brain oriented approach is needed — and that is part of what I offer.
Alongside EMDR, I work integratively, which means I adapt how we work to fit you. We may include grounding, resourcing, gentle body-based awareness, attachment-focused work, or exploration of identity and meaning. Your inner protective strategies are respected. We do not remove coping mechanisms until something more supportive exists in their place.
This is a space where you do not have to perform or present yourself in any particular way. You do not need to have the right language. We work with whatever is here. Some of our work may be gentle and stabilising; some may be deeper once safety is established. All of it is held with care, steadiness and humanity.
About me
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and EMDR Practitioner, working with adults in both private practice and organisational settings. I have extensive experience supporting people through trauma, grief, anxiety, early life emotional neglect, relational trauma and overwhelming stress responses. Earlier in my career, I worked within the Police Force, where I trained as a Critical Incident Debriefer and supported individuals and teams in the aftermath of sudden, distressing and traumatic events. Alongside private practice, I have worked clinically across community, health and support environments. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to professional ethical standards, ongoing supervision and continuing professional development. My work is grounded in respect, collaboration and the belief that meaningful change is possible at any stage in life.
If you are unsure whether we would be a good fit, we can arrange an initial conversation. There is no pressure and no expectation. It is simply a chance to see whether the approach feels right for you.
When you feel ready, you are welcome to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
I am fully trained, certificated, registered, insured & DBS checked to work with all adults & children of all ages.
My main passion is to help people find positive life change & solutions. This in turn leads to far better quality of life & way stronger resilience & self supporting skill set - ensuring a much happier future.
